Enjoy a 60s supper cruise on the River Dee

Chester’s River Dee is well known as an excellent location for kayaking in the Northwest, but you can’t spend all of your time paddling, which is why there are a lot of events that take place on and around the River.

If you are a fan of 60s music such as The Beatles, Johnny Cash and many other country and rock bands from times gone by, you may be interested in booking onto one of the River Dee’s fabulous Riverboat Shuffle 60s Supper Cruises.

Cruisin’ 60s

The ChesterBoat Riverboat Shuffle 60s Supper Cruise is a first for the city. It will be taking place on a couple of dates – 7th November and 6th December – bringing a touch of cool nostalgia to the waters.

The cruises will each last for three hours, starting from 7:00 pm and will consist of a meal, live music and dancing.

Food to die for

Served on board will be a two-course supper designed and created by ‘A Catered Affair’. On the menu is homemade lasagne with salad, bread and lashings of butter, followed by Sicilian lemon pots with whipped cream and raspberries. Vegetarians will be catered for if they inform the company of their needs in advance.

Of course, no true 60s cruise would be complete without the sounds of the decade. These will be provided by Go Country – a covers band that plays all of the greatest hits from the finest Country and Western and Rock and Roll bands, including the great Hank Williams and The Fab Four.

All of the dancing you will be able to do onboard will ensure that you remain active and have a fantastic time even when you have packed up your kayak and removed your wetsuit for the day.
