Chester Pride set to be bold and brash celebration

The timetable of events for this year’s Chester Pride festival has recently been released and it looks set to be one of the biggest and best yet.

The event, which takes place in the city on October 3rd, will see the city transformed into a utopia of fun, fairness and equality with an emphasis on having a good time, so if you happen to be kayaking in Chester that day, be sure to take time out to enjoy the festivities.

Appeal for all ages

The festival’s organisers have ensured that there are adequate activities and attractions to appeal to people of all ages, so whether you’re in the city with your young family, your partner or your parents, you are sure to find something that everyone can enjoy.

Attractions

Attractions at this year’s pride event will include a family-friendly fun fair, a bold, brash parade of colour through Chester city centre which will begin at midday, a live performance by popular singer and DJ Sonique and a Chester Pride’s Got Talent show.

The events organisers wanted to ensure that the festival was an event for all the community, and one that would appeal to people of all ages from all walks of life. Past events have really helped to bring Chester together in a fun and relaxed way and this year’s festival is on course to do the same, just bigger and better.

Although Pride events are organised to celebrate and support the LBGTQ community, everyone is more than welcome to attend, so get involved and enjoy what is sure to be one of the most vibrant days in Chester in 2015.

Events will be taking place throughout the day and night, so you should have plenty of time between kayaking to squeeze in a few activities.
